facebook.comSo it's that time of year again when the Ska Fest crew sit down and make plans to program Ireland's Biggest Ska and Reggae Festival, ideas are thrown around Kav tries to book the biggest a most expensive ska band on the planets, Mark's calculator melts and Gino's hair goes white ! The usual problems crop up, money, time, what bands are booked and who makes the tea ! The festival this year is at a crossroads and our biggest dilemma is where are we going to host the 2018 festival. Its always been in Tramore right ? Its called the Tramore International Ska and Reggae Festival right ? The Festival has been struggling on the last few years and when we say struggle we mean struggle, it has faced more than its fair share of challenges and without the dedication of its small core of volunteers it would not simply exist. Last year a handful of local businesses rowed in behind the festival and raised funds to you all we thank you, but yet the festival is not reaching anywhere near its full potential. We have an option to move the 2018 festival into Waterford City and this begs the question, does it lose its magic or does it bring the festival to the next level, or can that level be achieved in Tramore ?
