Our Lady & St Brendan's church was built in 1970. The parish was established as a new parish in Tralee in 1985. There are 2,500 families in the parish.

MANY THANKS: to Fr Ciaran O'Callaghan and Rev Ken Newell who spoke at the Sunday Masses on August 6th. Fr Ciaran gave us an insight into the Feast of the Transfiguration and Rev Ken spoke about his experience of working for reconciliation in Belfast.

WELCOME: to Fr Niall Geaney, a native of Castleisland and a member of St Patrick's Society, Kiltegan who has been appointed to our parish. Fr Niall previously worked in a few African countries and has now returned to ministry in his native Co Kerry. We wish him well for the future.

DIOCESAN CHANGES: take effect from today. We extend our good wishes to Fr Patsy Lynch who has been with us for ten years and has been appointed to Ballinskelligs parish. He is pictured turning the sod; best wishes to him in new pastures!! We welcome Fr Niall Geaney who has worked in Africa for many years and has been appointed to our own parish. We wish him every happiness in his new ministry.

ALTAR SERVERS: had their summer party in the Pastoral Centre, with fun activities this evening including how to make a kite. The fun was trying to fly their kites!! Many thanks to Aileen and Denis Kelleher for organising the party and the activities as well as the pizza!! Many thanks to the altar servers for attending to the Mass rota during the year. CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION: The procession took place on Sunday June 18th from the Church to the Austin Stacks Club grounds in Connolly Park. It was a great success with a huge crowd, on a very hot day!! Congratulations to the residents of Connolly Park for all their preparations...... The estate looked immaculate. Congratulations to the Austin Stacks Club for hosting the procession, for organising it too and for the hospitality afterwards.
