DROP IN SERVICE
Call without any appointment and chat with one of our trained volunteers. We offer confidential listening and emotional support in a tranquil relaxed and safe environment, no appointment is needed. Just come along and bring a friend if you wish. If you cannot call in please feel free to phone us.
RELAX
Call in, have a chat with one of our trained volunteers, enjoy a cuppa or simply chill out.
REFRESH
Avail of our therapy services, which are offered by appointment only. These are free of charge to our visitors.
INFORM
Browse our library which has a wide range of relevant and practical information or simply unwind with a good book. We will also liaise with the relevant agencies with regard to providing information eg Citizens Information, Irish Cancer Society etc.
GARDEN
Besides being a haven, for relaxing and escaping in, this is also a place to potter.
SUPPORT GROUPS & INFORMATION EVENINGS
We have a variety of groups that give you an opportunity to share your experience. Support groups are professionally led by a qualified nurse/facilitator and aim to give support, practical information & reassurance.
Gynaecological Cancer Support Group meet 2nd Monday of every month at 8pm.
Walking Group – Every Tuesday @ 10.30am
Information Evenings for men and Women – throughout the year, please contact us for more details.
THERAPIES
The therapies are all provided by qualified accredited practitioners. At present these include, Reiki, Massage, Reflexology, Beautician.
CLASSES
Art therapy, Tai-Chi & Meditation, Yoga, Mindfulness based stress reduction.
OTHER SPECIALITY SERVICES INCLUDE:
Wig Fitting Service – of which there is a refundable charge in most cases.

Spring into Music with the Kerry Choral Union! Kerry Choral Union Senior Choir is a mixed choir of over seventy members which has been active in the cultural life of Tralee and its environs for more than thirty years. The Kerry Choral Union Junior Choir has a membership of twenty, and it performs regularly with the Senior Choir. Both choirs sing a varied repoitoire which appeals to a huge audience. The choir rehearses in Collis Sandes every Wednesday night from 7.30 to 9.30 pm. It welcomes new members at any time and all that is required of aspiring singers is that they enjoy the music.Spring Concert March 19 th in aid of Recovery Haven. A spring treat not to be missed shortly is the choral concert with the Kerry Choral Union in St Brendan’s Church, Upper Rock Street, Tralee on Sunday March 19th at 7:30pm.The concert is eagerly anticipated and has been organised as a fundraiser for the benefit of Recovery Haven, the Kerry Cancer Support House. The choir will be joined by guest soloists and also their junior choir who will perform several songs on the night including Justin Timberlake’s ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’. The Choir’s repertoire will include ‘The Last Words of David’ by Randall Thompson, ‘Seal Lullaby’ by Eric Whiteacre, songs from Les Misérables, ‘Bring Hime Home’ and ‘One Day More’ and other favourites, ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, ‘Ireland’s Call’ and ‘Battle Hymn of the Republic’ for a rousing finale. Music Director is Sharon Reidy and accompanist Áine Hurley. "There has been a very good response from previous years for this spring concert and we will be expecting a huge crowd again,” said Chairman Joe Cotter. NUTRITION TALKS AT RECOVERY HAVEN KERRY Recovery Haven Kerry Cancer Support House will host a number of free nutrition information talks this March. On Monday 13th & 27th (11.00am - 1.00pm) for those going through the cancer journey. On Wednesdays 15th & 29th (7.00 - 9.00pm) for those caring for someone with cancer. Cancer itself and its treatment can place extra demands on the body. During cancer treatment and recovery we need to adapt what we eat to cope with the bodies changing nutritional needs. . Nutritional therapist Maxine Brown will help you understand more about nutrition, eating well during and after treatment, practical tips and advice. For further information please contact 0667192122
