Tips for the cold weather ❄️❄️ While the temperatures have plummeted. Houses are at risk of being flooded the most common houses,are houses are idle in this case you should turn off the water mains coming into the house. Turn on all your taps and draindown your water system,Have the heating system to come on 3 to 4 times a day for an hour. This will protect your radiators on your heating system even if you have no Oil. you can leave the heating system on Constant and the circulating pump will circulate the water which will help stop it from freezing. And if your water does freeze Turn off your mains at road if possible or were it comes into your house Normally at your kitchen sink or utility. If you are going to work it would be better to turn it off as well just Incase.when you get home you can turn it back on then and make sure it’s working okay. very important if you have a stove with a back boiler that you keep it going all the time. this will help stop it from freezing. if they freeze it can be very dangerous if the stove is lighting all the time they’ll be enough heat off to keep the pipes from freezing. stoves with back boilers are very very dangerous and if there is no expansion no circulation this could cause an explosion . on a different note if you have Elderly neighbours please call or phone them and check that they’re okay and most importantly be safe
