I grow cut-flowers and sell them farmers markets. Bouquets and wreaths - any occasion. I also offer a garden design service.

FRESH FLOWERS

My focus lies on scented cottage garden varieties: scented Roses, Poppies, Cosmos, Cornflowers, Sweet Peas to name but a few. I test all my varieties for vase life and they will only be included if they last at least for 7 days, however many last longer.
Although not currently organically certified, I try to grow the flowers in accordance to organic principles. Every bunch of flowers is unique and flower combinations change throughout the season and from week to week and year to year. I will try to add scent when ever possible.

I also dry flowers and make them into wreaths and dried flower arrangements which I sell throughout the seasons.
GARDEN DESIGN

I trained as a landscape architect and work on a consultancy basis for Carlow County Council. I also offer a garden design service. This can range from a detailed plan for a new garden to a few suggestions to improve colour, focal points or wild life in an established garden.

Wedding flowers grown in Co. Wicklow
Congratulations to Louise and Michael who had their wedding in Mount Juliet.
Funeral wreaths for a lady who loved wild flowers. R.I.P. I used my early narcissi, witch hazel and greenery. My own tulips are only just poking through the ground. It will be a few months before I can harvest them.
It might not seem this way with the recent storms and downpours by the end is in sight. These early narcissi will go to Brooklodge, Macreddin on Friday.
Missing my flowers. This bouquet was delivered at Halloween. Hard to believe I still had so many flowers then. On a positive note, Narcissistic, Bluebells and Camassia all have their shoots out and our hens are laying the odd egg! 🐔🥚🌱

Next market day: this Sunday, Herbert Park 11am-4pm. Apart from Christmas wreaths I have made flower infused face oils and soaps. There will also be a selection of hand carved spoon which are made by my son Lukas McDonagh. Hope to see you there.
I will be back at Herbert Park Market this Sunday introducing THE FLOWERFIELD BOTANICALS. All oils are infused by myself using my own, home grown herbs and flowers. Can't wait to show them to you!
