One place remaining ! Movement and Drawing Workshop, Saturdays 9 & 16 September, 10.30am to 12.30pm Catherine Weld, artist in residence, will be joined by Oslo based movement and drama lecturer Nina Harte. During these workshops participants will be led by Nina in simple breath and movement exercises to open them to an increased awareness of their inner body sensations. After each exercise Catherine will facilitate the creation of expressive marks in response to the experience. This will be a quiet and meditative space leading to deepened bodily awareness so that the drawn marks made in response to movement become increasingly true to the felt experience. Booking is essential as there are limited places. Total fee to participate is €12. There will be an element of progression so participants will need to be available to attend both sessions. Curious School of Puppetry Tuesday 19 September at 6.30pm Free event, no booking required A Sharing of Experimental Work by four graduates of the Curious School of Puppetry at Uillinn. Four graduates from the esteemed Curious School of Puppetry in London will be in residence in West Cork for just 3 days this September, to experiment, play and research the possibilities of a new piece of multi-disciplinary work which will premier in 2018. Between them, Hannah Barrie, Tess Leak, Eoin Lynch and Inari Soinila have decades of experience in the worlds of theatre, performance, music and visual art. This exciting collaboration promises to deliver some fascinating and thought provoking work. Come and join us as we take the first steps in creating a piece of work that will incorporate visual art, puppetry and live, experimental music. This sharing will be a short 'work-in-progress', exploring themes influenced, in part, by life on the edge of the Atlantic.
