ALL schools and colleges in Leinster and Munster are to remain closed on Thursday and Friday, the Department of Education has confirmed. Officials have decided to close schools and colleges in the two provinces for safety reasons as freezing conditions continue to grip Ireland. " [13:38, 2/28/2018] +353 86 250 5313: Popcorn Childcare has given careful consideration to to above statutory release and having made a risk assessment has regrettably decided that it too will follow these guidelines and will close tomorrow and Friday. This decision is based on duty of care and consideration to the welfare and safety of our children and staff. It is also based on extreme weather conditions forecast for the coming days. We hope that all parents will fully understand this correct decision. [13:42, 2/28/2018] +353 86 250 5313: http://www.met.ie/forecasts/

Thanks to one of our parents for sending on this link.
After serious consideration re the imminent arrival of storm Ophelia and for the safety and wellbeing of our children and staff we have taken the unprecented step of making a decision to close our service tomorrow(Mon). The decision is based on the recommendation of the Dept of Children and Youth Affairs We have also had to give consideration to the extent of our insurance cover given the status Red Warning. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we hope that our parents will fully understand. The decision has not been taken lightly and is a health and safety decision. We encourage our parents to stay safe and keep in touch with weather alerts.
