BMW faces raft of legal cases over car engine failures
Dermot McNamara says he expects more will follow, as over 100 BMW owners across Ireland have made enquiries about "catastrophic" engine failures.

The rising number of ‘revenge porn’ cases in the U.K. led to a new law being introduced last year which made it illegal to disclose a "private sexual photograph or film" without the consent of the person depicted in the content. In Ireland, the issue of revenge porn like many sectors of cyber crime is not yet dealt with under Irish law and currently Gardai have limited powers to access data from websites or to prosecute. The term "revenge porn" generally refers to the uploading of sexually explicit material to humiliate and intimidate the subject, who has broken off the relationship.
