Last night was one of our two big nights of the year along with our Captains Prize and to be decided was our Golfer of the Year competition which is on a points based system. Brian Hassett, after a terrific year, led Fergal Croke going into Saturday but Fergal pulled a big performance out of the bag and after much checking and rechecking it turned out that the boys were level and will both have their names on the Shield. Mike Ryan gave us a great blast of Slievenamon in honour of Tom Ryan.. Jackie Ryan has asked us to post the appreciation of the Ryan family for all who turned out last night also. We had 50 plus members again this year and with our ever enthusiastic, and evolving, committee we hope to welcome some more golfers next yr - be they male or female, occassional or of the golf mad variety. I known it looks boring sometimes but tis mighty craic☺
