New Cuidiu antenatal classes starting in Waterford city next month! All moms, dads and birth partners are welcome. These small groups are an ideal way to prepare for birth and the early postpartum days with the newborn baby. Its a great alternative to a hospital class and the hands-on skills you learn is great for experienced parents needing a refresher too. Too soon for you in your pregnancy? Sign up for the next class in May 2018.

You don't need to be a Cuidiu member to attend this class but some of you may like to check out the offerings of this national charity. Cuidiu provides support to parents through bumps & babes/ toddler groups, breastfeeding support groups, parent to parent support and much more. Cuidiu is fully run by volunteers and membership is available online at http://www.cuidiu-ict.ie/

Congratulations to Waterford University Hospital for the recognition by the Baby Friendly Health Initiative of Ireland! Hospital practices are designed to support mothers and babies beginning their breastfeeding journey; and providing appropriate skills and information for parents of all babies regardless of feeding decisions.
