There was one employee operating from a small back yard office and when Frank died in 1953, his son Billy carried on the business. The present Managing Director William Talbot joined the firm in 1997. In the intervening 57 years Talbot's have been uniting buyers and sellers and because of their long experience can offer expert advice on all aspects of property sales. They now operate from a newly refurbished street front suite of offices, employing a staff of eight people.
In 1999 Talbot's joined The Sherry FitzGerald Countrywide Network and as a result has gone from strength to strength. Being situated close to Lough Derg, they always have an excellent selection of lake properties on their books. They specialise in the sale of farms, modern and period residences and commercial properties.

Latest analysis reveals a residential market of stagnant prices and activity
Our Chief Economist Marian Finnegan discusses how the average value of Irish established homes rose by 0.3% during the second quarter of 2019. Marian writes: “A review of the residential market in the opening half of 2019 reveals some interesting trends.
