Cloudburst Ltd.
Description
Cloudburst: Stormwater Attenuation, Flood Fender Flood Control, Sustainable Urban Drainage, Rainwater Harvesting and Wastewater Treatment. Cloudburst work with our customers to design, install and maintain sustainable systems for key water management applications. Our team specializes in providing Stormwater Attenuation, Flood Defences, Rainwater Harvesting and Wastewater Treatment.
Stormwater Attenuation is the process of water retention on site and slowly releasing it in a controlled discharge to a surface water or combined drain or watercourse. The amount of discharge will vary depending whether it is a brown or greenfield site. For brownfield sites the developer must determine the likely Stormwater run off and agree an acceptable attenuation and discharge with the environment agency or water authority. Cloudburst design, install and manage Stormwater Attenuation systems built from our leading edge technology – Cultec® .
CULTEC provides a complete stormwater management plan consisting of filtration, conveyance, storage and infiltration. CULTEC’s Stormwater Attenuation Systems meet the regulations of EPA’s Phase II of the Clean Water Act and are approved by IAPMO Research and Testing, Inc. By using CULTEC chambers, rainwater is collected in inlet structures and piped to an underground retention/detention system.
CULTEC Contactor® and Recharger® chambers may be used as underground retention/detention systems, as replacements for ponds, concrete structures or pipe and stone installations.
Advantages:
Allows for more controlled infiltration into the ground.
Replenishes the surrounding soil and aquifer.
Decreases health liability issues such as West Niles breeding grounds for mosquitoes, or drowning.
Avoids redirecting stormwater to a watercourse and potentially overloading or polluting our natural surroundings and resources.
Frees up land for further development such as athletic fields or parking areas.
CULTEC chambers effectively serve environmentally sensitive areas while making valuable land available for parking lots, athletic fields and other applications.
The high capacity, open bottom chambers provide greater storage and much higher infiltrative capability than conventional pipe and stone systems.
As a replacement for retention ponds, CULTEC chambers alleviate insurance concerns and loss of valuable land area.
Less area and less crushed stone are required compared to conventional systems.
FloodFender is a water-inflated temporary dam that provides an economical, effective, and safe alternative to conventional dam methods such as sand bags, earthen beams, and mechanical barriers and will safely prevent the incursion of up to 6ft head of water onto property, roads or project sites preventing potentially millions of Euros in damage.
Fully engineered and tested this patented water-inflated dam is designed to stand alone, without any additional external mechanical or gravitational stabilization devices, as a positive water barrier and water management system and can also be used to provide access to underwater areas for construction and maintenance operations, hazardous liquid containment, sediment retention in environmentally sensitive areas.
