Cross Guns
Description
The Cross Guns pub is located at Butlerstown, Castletown, Navan, 10 miles north of Navan on the Kingscourt Road. Just a short distance from Cross Guns pub, the last great battle of the 1798 Rebellion was fought at Knightstown Bog when the Croppies were defeated by English forces. There are three memorials marking the event in the area around Cross Guns.
