Craddockstown Golf Club
Description
Craddockstown Golf Club is a Members Owned Club situated just two minutes from Naas, Co Kildare and only 20 minutes from the M50 Motorway. The parkland golf course has matured into a fair challenge for all golfers as experienced by Senior Cup scratch golfers as well as Veterans of all of handicaps in recent championships. No steep hills but gently undulating tree-lined fairways with streams and lakes containing abundent wildlfe.
One of the benefits of being a Members Owned Club (with full ownership of the course lands and buildings) is the amount of playing time that is available to members. We currently run competitions for both men and ladies every Saturday and Sunday. Tuesday is Ladies Day and every Wednesday we have a Men's Open Singles all day.
We have an active Junior membership with approximately 180 Junior Members. Competitions and coaching take place throughout the Summer months with competitions every Thursday morning.
Visitors are most welcome to our fine course and friendly club house atmosphere.

Master's Monday Review What a magnificent January day? An overnight blanket of cloud kept the frost at bay and not a drop of rain discerned. Many thanks to Tom and his staff for ensuring the full course was in play with well presented greens. By now, well recovered from the Christmas and New Year festivities - 52 January Master’s glided around the course – o.k. so a few of you stumbled. Still there’s always next month when your efforts may be rewarded. A warm welcome to the many New Master’s, don’t forget to pick up your copy of the Master’s schedule. And now for the results: Category A 1st Dermot Breslin (starting the winning early this year Dermot) 2nd Danny Mulcahy (second in a 3 man photo finish) 3rd David O’Brien (well done Captain David, just pipped on the back 9) Category B 1st John Brady (picking up from where you left off in October John – congrats) 2nd Tony Doyle (helped by a birdie chip in, from 155 metres on hole 17) 3rd M.A. Byrnes (first of many – well done Michael) Category 70+ Alan O’Brien (great result (again) Alan – but your handicap is now severely cut) The full Master’s diary is posted on the notice board. Take care and we will see you all on the 6th February

Master's Monday 16th January Happy New Year to all and thanks to the 107 Master’s who participated during 2016. New members are always welcome to play in Master’s Monday. If you have reached fifty years and are available on Mondays, then you are eligible. Instructions are as follows: * Turn up on the allocated Monday between 8.30 and 11.00am. * Place a €5 in an envelope, add your name and deposit it in the Pro Shop Safe. * Check your ‘Master’s’ handicap. Remember if you were cut for a win in the Masters during 2016, these shots are now re-instated - play off your current G.U.I. handicap. * Shots received in the Masters during 2016 are retained - play off your Master’s handicap. * Form a tree-ball with the nearest ‘friendly Masters’. * Add your name to a score card and play golf – always 18 holes. The weather forecast is excellent for a January Monday – temperatures will reach 8 degrees – wind light @ 2 m/s – zero precipitation. While we took our Christmas and New Year break, four new visitors arrived. Here is a photo taken on the lake between holes one and two – let’s encourage them to remain. So remember – first outing of the year - Master’s Monday on January 16. See you there.
