Photos from Diocese of Clogher's post
Photos from yesterday's meeting of the Irish Bishops and Diocesan Administrators with Pope Francis in Rome. Our Diocesan Administrator Mgr Joseph McGuinness and Bishop-Emeritus Liam MacDaid are, respectively, 2nd and 3rd from the right in the first photo. The meeting with Pope Francis dealt with a wide range of current questions and topics relating to the Irish Church and Irish society. While the meeting was business-like, it was quite informal. Pope Francis did not give an address but, rather, sought the views and experiences of the bishops through a mixture of discussion and a series of questions and answers. The meeting lasted for more than two hours. It was followed by a press conference at the studios of Vatican Radio. Photos courtesy of Irish Catholic Communications Office.

Pope Francis will address all the Irish Bishops and Diocesan Administrators tomorrow morning, as part of their Ad Limina pilgrimage. We pray for the Church and the priorities and intentions of the Holy Father. Let us pray, Grant, we pray, almighty God, that your Church may always remain that holy people, formed as one by the unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, which manifests to the world the Sacrament of your holiness and unity and leads it to the perfection of your charity. We ask this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, you Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever, Amen!
