The NUIM Chess Club was created to provide a space for people to learn and improve chess. All are welcome! :) NUIM Chess Club is a new club for anyone and everyone in Maynooth who's into chess - whether you're a beginner, an experienced player, or somewhere in-between, we want you to come and play a few games with us! We'll be hosting workshops and a competition or two throughout the year, as well as meeting up for casual play and organising a few crazy events for the craic (chess speed dating anyone?)

Our committee members for 2017/18:

President: Stephen Nulty
Vice-President: Emma Afrasani
Secretary: Shaheer Ahmad
Treasurer: Paddy Smith
PRO: Bence Vereb
First Year Rep: Leo Kreiser

Here's a video if you don't know where Loftus is: https://youtu.be/CI22qQspmhU Here's a more retro version of the same video if you want to see what maynooth looked like when I was in first year given by an old maynooth su president: https://youtu.be/7a7NTeR19O0 If anyone has any suggestions on what to cover on Thursday, like if people want me to bring any of the games the last day, or someone to teach openings or strategy or something let us know!
