VOLUNTEERS WANTED OUT THE OTHER SIDE: A GARDEN OF HOPE The Marie Keating Foundation will be at Bloom and we need your help! Volunteers are need for roles such as: • Encouraging people to visit garden & explaining garden concept- all volunteers will receive a briefing • Selling pink ribbons to raise funds for our cancer services • Handing out flyers Volunteers are asked to commit for one half-day over the June Bank Holiday Weekend. Your volunteer pass gives you access to Bloom for the rest of the day. Great info to have Students planning to travel, work or live abroad will find the Emigrant Information Pack 2016 very helpful - practical information about work, health insurance, useful contacts and lots more advice relating to each of the main receiving countries. There is also a section on the recent changes to J1 Summer Work and Travel Programme. The Pack, a publication of the Irish Catholic Bishops' Council for Emigrants, is free of charge. http://www.catholicbishops.ie/2016/04/12/emigrant-information-pack-2016-now-available/ There are Packs available on campus - from outside the Chaplaincy Office in the Arts Building and from the entrance hall to the Student Services Centre on the North Campus. Travel safely.

Holly enjoyed her visit to Shay in the arts building today and meeting all the students who gave her lovely cuddles. She's enjoying a nice sleep now but is looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
Volunteers are urgently needed this weekend, Fri, 29 April to Sun,1 May, to help in the 'Shop for Good' fundraising campaign in Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin in aid of Console.
