We are transition year students from Davis College, Mallow. We want to encourage people to support their local community and to buy Irish produce. We are four transition year students from Davis College in Mallow, Co. Cork. We want to encourage people to support their local communities by buying local produce. We are working with the 'Certified Irish Angus Producer Group', 'ABP Ireland' and 'Kepak Group' to promote quality Irish Angus beef which is sold in Tesco stores nationwide.

Today we went to Kanturk Mart and handed out our flyers promoting the Irish Angus breed to the local farmers. We also got to meet some Angus calves!
Last Friday (March 4th 2016) we unveiled our pop-up display stand in our local Tesco store. This display will hopefully encourage people to buy certified Irish Angus beef which has been produced by Irish farmers. The pictures below show the display stand with our principal Mr. Healy, vice principal Mr. O' Sullivan, teacher Ms. Collins and Tesco Mallow supervisor Brian McHugh. #buylocal #buyirish

Today we visited Certified Irish Angus Beef farmer Sean Kelleher from Newcestown in Cork. Sean showed us around his farm where he has approximately 200 certified Irish Angus cattle. It's important to support local farmers and to buy Irish meat! Head to Tesco to see Sean's picture on his meat products!
