Longford RFC fields sides at Mens J1,J2 & J3, in Leinster Women's Division 2 and underage from U6-U19. If you are interested in joining leave a message and we will get back to you. We are always looking for more players, coaches and volunteers. Longford RFC is one of the most progressive rugby clubs in Ireland. This is reflected in our excellent facilities and constant renewal and addition to these facilities. Longford have one of the best Clubhouse Facilities in the country in the form of the Sin Bin Event Centre, which serves excellent food and drink and is an excellent venue for any function for members and friends of the club.
Longford fields teams at levels from U7 to Senior Men and Woman.
Longford also have great playing facilities including;
3 pitches all are all weather and have full lighting. The main pitch has recently upgraded match standard floodlights and a covered stand, along with full fencing and covered subs benches and an electronic score board.
Longford RFC have a Strength and Conditioning Centre for players opened in the memory of former Club Captain, Derek Belton.
Longford have five men’s dressing rooms, along with a Physio treatment room and separate Referees and Woman’s Changing Rooms.
Plans are currently in train for a new all weather synthetic training area, to resurface the car park and to upgrade the pitches.

Well done to St. Mel’s College who have advanced to the final of the Anne McInerney Cup with a 19-12 win v St. Benildus In a tough physical game. Tries were by Gerard Flynn, Daire O’Brien and Jack Magan, with two conversions by Magan. Congrats! Moyne CS are also in the shield final of the same competition.

The draw for the Provincial Towns Cup 2nd round was made yesterday. Longford drew Enniscorthy away on February 11th. The Development XV also have to travel to Wexford to face Gorey in the 1st round of the Provincial 2nds Cup on February 18th.
