We are very sorry to learn of the death of Teddy McGoey, The Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule, Teddy was known all over Longford and further afield because of his many involvements. He was a great community worker and he and his family played key roles in the success of Abbeyshrule in the National Tidy Towns Competition and the Entente Florale Europe. Our sympathies go to his wife Betty, their daughters Mary, Kathryn (Keenan), Irene, Therese (Mulligan) and Valerie, son Edward, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, sister, brothers, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
