Located next door to Internationally famous Thomond Park which is the home ground of Munster Rugby, one of the most successful and best supported rugby clubs in the world, the LIT Millennium Theatre with its harmonious avant-garde glass and steel structure is the perfect intimate venue for a great evenings entertainment.
Opened in March 2003 the Millennium quickly established a reputation as a leading producing theatre. Our policy is to present a comprehensive range of outstanding entertainment fulfilling the needs of local theatre-goers. The comfortable auditorium, seating up to 350, is fully air-conditioned. Other theatre facilities include a bar, refreshment kiosk, and a spacious foyer.

Showing next Tuesday night 4th. October at 8pm. in the Millennium Film Club 'Youth' Starring Harvey Keitel and Michael Caine. Oscar-winning director Paolo Sorrentino (The Great Beauty) skilfully uses his actors to present a stylish, funny film of great emotional depth, exploring themes of life experiences and aging, with Caine in particular in sparkling form.
Summer Music on the Shannon - An Introduction - STARTS July 18th
A great three weeks of Music and Opera performed by Limerick youth from all over the city under the expert tutoring of an international team of top classical musicians. This is going to be an annual event with the Millennium theatre as the company's partner and base of operations. Watch out for signup details of next year's camp early in 2017. The camp will take place annually in the Millennium theatre during July/August for 3 weeks.
