Kicking The Bucket
YES, IT’S TRUE! Due to phenomenal demand Sinead Dinneen and Katie Verling are running one more Kicking the Bucket programme in Limerick this spring. In 2016, what had begun as a moment of black humour grew into the Kicking the Bucket workshop series, a public exhibition, public presentations and finally an RTE radio 1 Documentary (see http://www.rte.ie/radio1/doconone/2016/1119/832639-kicking-the-bucket/). Thanks to the fantastic feedback we got from listeners, viewers and friends we’ve agreed to run another series of workshops this year with a new group of participants. Kicking the Bucket 2017 will begin on Monday February 27th and will take place in Central Buildings at 51 O Connell Street Limerick. The dates are as follows: February 27th, March 13th and 27th, April 10th and 24th, and May 8th and each evening will begin at 7pm and finish at 10pm. The new season of Kicking the Bucket will include art making, creative initiatives, readings and personal reflection, and will include guest speakers and old friends from the original Kicking the Bucket initiative. On completion of the programme each participant will have made work – visual, writing, video, audio or multi media which will be displayed in a public exhibition in Limerick in late May 2017. The number of places on the workshops is limited and there have been a number of enquiries already, so please contact Katie Verling (katiegverling@gmail.com or Sinead Dinneen on Sinead_dinneen@yahoo.co.uk if you are interested.
