Institutos de Ensino Superior da Irlanda apresentam colaborações bem-sucedidas com o Brasil

Positive words on the relationship between LIT and Brazilian universities at the #FAUBAI conference in Brazil where LIT are presenting today. "STRENGTHENING RELATIONSHIPS: When the first students of Science without Borders began to land in Ireland, the Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) immediately began looking for partnerships that generated long-term benefits for both countries. This week, Dr. Liam Brown, Vice President of Research, Development and Innovation, and Dr. Patrick Murray, Head of Research and Technology Transfer, both of LIT, will be in Brazil to formalize some of these projects. In addition, LIT PhD student Martin Hayes, who is doing a research exchange at UFSJ (Federal University of São João del Rei) in Minas Gerais, will give a presentation on his experience at FAUBAI, together with Brazilian university. For Liam Brown, the partnership between LIT and UFSJ brought significant scientific and cultural benefits to both Ireland and Brazil. He believes that sharing a similar mentality with Brazilians was central to this positive relationship, and lists the three main similarities between the two nations in his view as: " a strong work ethic, passionate about what we do and both open welcoming people." LIT is seeking more collaborative projects that can generate a positive social impact. LIT has distinguished itself and received funding from Erasmus + for undergraduate students and for short-term trips by researchers from both countries. Last year, LIT also hosted six co-supervised master's students from Brazil with scholarships offered by the Irish Institutes of Technology (IoTI)."
