Weight training for children. You will often hear these common comments. They will get injured. It will stunt their growth. As this article shows these preconceived ideas on children lifting weights are wrong and have absolutely no scientific backing. In fact your child will be more prone to injury playing field sports like hurling, rugby, football. Stunting a childs growth is probably the most ridiculous comment you will hear the most, yet children carry school bags every day that are very heavy! They climb (that takes allot of muscle power!), pull and drag things with no adverse effects on their growth. How many parent's allow their children to pick up a bag of shopping, push the shopping trolley? It is equally as illogical to say these would stunt their growth. While this article is not on kettlebell sport, it is equally appropriate.
Youth training as usual today at 4:30pm
