I was invited to the Army Barracks today to receive a donation for Teac Tom. This was raised by the 53rd Battalion that served in the Lebanon in 2016. They organised an event while also raising awareness about suicide and the supports available in Teac Tom. Thanks so much. Chief organisers. Alan Dowling, Robbie Hayes and Mark Fitzpatrick

A milestone for mental wellbeing as Teac Tom opens
One year ago we opened the doors of Teac Tom. Teac Tom has allowed the Thomas Hayes Trust to provide support for people feeling suicidal, and support for families and friends bereaved by suicide. In the last year support has been provided to over 200 people. This support is due to: - The people of Kilkenny, and neighbouring counties, who have supported our mission through kind words, generous donations and fundraising. We THANK YOU most sincerely for that. - Our counsellors have gone over and beyond with their time and commitment. THANK YOU. - Our directors and advisory committee have ensured good governance and practices are in place. The Trust is a registered company "limited by guarantee", a registered charity with the Revenue Commissioners, and is registered with the Charity Regulator. THANK YOU. - Our volunteers have been immense. Helping at our coffee mornings, helping in Teac Tom, helping at events, fundraising. We could not operate without our volunteers. THANK YOU. - Angela and her family and friends who support her 24/7. THANK YOU. • We receive no financial support from the state. • We wish there wasn't a need to provide this service in Kilkenny, and surrounding locations. • We wish everyone accepts that "It Is Okay Not To Be Okay".
