The Curragh Montessori offers professional childcare and a Montessori education for children from 2.5 - 6 years. About Us
The Curragh Montessori has been operating now for almost 21 years. It is a unique establishment offering professional childcare and a Montessori education for children from 2 yrs – 6 yrs. The professional and caring staff of three have worked in the school for many years, and are fully qualified to meet the physical, psychological, and educational needs of all the children.
The school fulfills all the criteria laid down by the relevant governing bodies. It has been notified to, and has been inspected by, Tusla (the early years preschool inspectorate) and Pobal.
Information on Numbers and Ratios:
The Curragh Montessori School caters for a maximum of 30 children on any one day.
The schoo'ls staff to child ratio is 1:11 in the Montessori Classes and in the Nursery Class the ratio is 1:8, where the children are aged between 2.5 years and 3 years.
ECCE
The Curragh Montessori School participates in the ECCE Scheme (Early Childhood Care and Education). Thus, we are able to offer your child up to **2 free years of preschool education.
**From September 2016, the ECCE scheme will be extended to children aged between 3 years and 5 years 6 months, or until they start primary school. This increases the number of weeks available on the ECCE scheme. Children will be able to enroll in pre-school at 3 different points in the year (September, January and April) in order to access the scheme.

Another fab week at summer camp. Thanks to everyone for being such great sports we had a lot of fun. Enjoy the remainder of your summer holidays and we will see everybody back at school on Thursday 31st August.
Thanks to everyone who joined us at the Bugs and Butterflies summer camp last week. We had a great week😃 A small number of places are still available for the Aliens and Astronauts camp on 31st July to 4th August.
Little reminder: Week 1 summer camp starts next Monday the 17th Of July 10am-1pm!
New FREE Afternoon Class – starting April 2017 at The Curragh Montessori School If your child turns 3 years between January and March 2017, they will be eligible to start the Free ECCE scheme on 1st April 2017. Due to the demand for places we are pleased to inform you that we are starting a new afternoon class for children in this category. We have limited places available.
