The Laterlife Network is open to anyone over the age of 55 living in County Meath The aim is to:
- Create a place where the voices of over 55’s are heard and where the local needs are met
- Develop the capacity of older people to decide priorities, shape objectives and deliver actions to bring about change
- Guide and advise Meath Partnership and its collaborative partners on strategies and actions to improve the quality of life of over 55’s in the county
- Promote a positive image of over 55’s showcasing their skills, talents and knowledge in making Meath an Age Friendly County
- Act as a communication resource for over 55’s in terms of information sharing, access to service providers and presentations on issues that affect its membership

Meath Age Friendly Alliance cordially invites you to a consultation event to make Meath a better place to live in for Older People If you are over 55 years of age and would like to have your say on what it is currently like for older people living in Meath and how you want it to look in the future, we would like to hear from you. Please come along to the Older Persons Consultation Event in Trim Castle Hotel, Trim, Co Meath on Wednesday 27th April 2016, 10.30am to 1.15pm, (lunch to follow) and share your thoughts and opinions with us. There was a great turnout in Kells for the Meath Laterlife Network AGM. Michael Finnegan, Chair of the Meath Age Friendly Alliance reported on progress made on the counties Age Friendly Strategy 'a lot done, more to do'; Susan Shaw, from Active Retirement Ireland spoke about the 'Earn Our Vote' campaign, and Dr Rodd Bond from the NetwellCASALA Centre at DKIT talked about some of the cutting edge research he is engaged in to ensure that we are ageing as well as we can.
