KANTURK CREDIT UNION CYCLING CLUB was founded in 1991 with just two members. Since then it has grown to be one of Ireland's most active under-age clubs.

Massive success at The National Youth Cycling Championships last weekend. In Total we brought home 46 medals! U 11 team was Stephen Sheehan, Michael Nolan and Max Fitzgerald. U12 in the Time Trial Quillan Donnelly was 3rd and Ewen McConville, Sean Tarrant and Quillian also collected the team prize. U13 TT David Shine was 2nd and he and his team mates Luke Moynihan and Patrick Morley collected the team prize. U15 TT Tom Moriarty was 1st. U15 TT Lucy O Donnell came 2nd. U16 TT Will Ryan won and again Will, Archie Ryan and Denis Murphy collected the team prize. Road Race: U 12 Quillian Donnelly 1st with Ewen McConville 2nd and again they collected the team prize along with Sean Tarrant. U 13 David Shine was 1st and the team prize again went to David, Luke Moynihan and Patrick Morley U 15 Lucy O Donnell was 3rd. U 15 Tom Moriarty 1st and also collected the Team Prize along with Sean Barrett, Luke Thompson and Daniel Yon Hin. U 16 Denis Murphy 3rd and he collected the Team Prize along with Tom O Connor, Will Ryan & Archie Ryan. Crit. U12 Ewen McConville was 2nd and the Team Prize also went to Ewen, Sean Tarrant and Quillian Donnelly. U 13 David Shine was 3rd and he along with Luke Moynihan and Patrick Morley took the team prize again. U 15 Tom Moriarty was 1st. Sean Barrett has terrible luck as he was on for a strong 2nd place here but his chain fell off as he sprinted for the line. U 15 Lucy O Donnell was 2nd. U 16 Will Ryan 1st, Archie Ryan 3rd. They also took the Team Price alomg with Tom O Connor and Denis Murphy. So as you can see, we had a great success and continuous strong results. Well done to you all, you are a great bunch of young people and you have done yourselves, your coach, your club and your families proud!

Thankfully it stayed dry for the crit today. Ewen McConville took 2nd place in a sprint finish. Ewen was also 4 on GC. The Munster u12 team also won the team prize. Congrats to you all. David Shine was presented with the white jersey, the yellow jersey, winning 1st u13 and overall u14. The Irish Youth Academy u14 also won the team prize. Lucy O Donnell has another win today and also took the overall pink jersey u16. Tom Moriarty was 1st unplaced u15 overall and also 1st Irish rider u16 in GC. Another successful day at the Errigal International youth tour. Ewen McConville riding for the munster academy got 2nd in stage 3 David Shine riding for the Irish Youth Academy retained his yellow jersey Luke Thompson riding for the munster youth Acadamey 1st in places u15 and Tom Moriarty riding for the Irish Youth Academy got 2nd unplaced in the time trial. Lucy O Donnell won the time trial and was 2nd girl u 16. Tom Moriarty was also 2nd unplaced in the road race. Well done again today to everyone who rode today.

What a day we had at Errigal international youth tour. We had Quillan Donnelly riding for munster in 4th place u12 David Shine had a superb race riding for the Irish Youth Academy winning the yellow jersey u14! Lucy O Donnell was 1st girl u16. Tom Moriarty riding for the Irish Youth Academy was 3rd u16. Great racing by all our members today!
