Grangemockler/Ballyneale GAA club held our AGM last Friday in the Cardinal Browne hall. We had decent numbers in attendance and a lot of important matters were discussed. The following people were elected on to the senior club executive committee: Chairman: Bernard Fogarty (South Board Rep) Vice Chairman: Jerry Shelly Secretary: Vacant Treasurer: Helen Hawe Tipperary Draw Coordinator: Connie Fogarty PRO: Thomas Grinsell Registrar: Thomas Grinsell Committee Members: Al Murray, Kieran MaGuire (Juvenile Rep), John Brunnock (Juvenile Rep), Breda Meagher, Michael Houlihan, Eamon O'Hanlon, Eamon Phelan (Co. Board Rep) A number of management team selections were left until the adjourned meeting with only one or two decided on the night. Bernard opened the meeting by thanking everyone for coming and thanking all officers and members for their help over the course of the year. JJ produced an excellent secretaries report with a break down of each game during the year and an overall review of the running of the club the past year. Helen Hawe was as efficient as ever as she gave delivered the financial report which left no stone un-turned. Tom Needham gave a very detailed report on the field committee and an update on the cost of the running of the field. He has encouraged players and members to continue supporting the lotto as it helps with the running costs. Al Murray and Michael Dineen prepared a few words to present to all present on gathering members to help with research for the history of the club book. This committee meets every week and travels to Thurles every Saturday to read through old reports and find any details on the club possible. This book will hoepfully be finished in time for the 100th year anniversary of Michael Hogan so all help would be greatly appreciated. The club would like to thank JJ Crowley for his work the past year as secretary. JJ stepped down from the position last Friday after working extremely hard last year to ensure the club ran as smoothly as possible. The position is now open for a new candidate and we hope to have this tied down ASAP. The club passed on it's sympathies to deceased members and family members over the course of the year and wished everyone a safe, healthy and happy christmas/new year. The adjourned meeting will take place on Friday 12th of January (Time TBC). Thanks to all for attending!!
