You would never guess from this photo that these two lovely woofs were on the brink of death only a few days before this photo was taken! These two scoundrels got into their owners artificial sweetener(xylitol) they had just bought. Within 2 hours they had noticed what had happened and had them at the vets but symptoms had already started. Artificial sweetener is highly toxic to dogs! It causes severe low blood sugar. These dogs had already began vomiting and wobbling on their legs. Both dogs were swiftly admitted which began a long 5 days of treatment at both ourselves for the first night and @arkvetsgalway for the next 4 days! Thankfully due their owners swift thinking they pulled through the many potential life threatening problems they encounter over the few days! This photo was taken as they were leaving the vets, happy and healthy ♥️ These owners want to make people aware the seriousness of artificial sweetener toxicity.
