Big Shout Out to our friends over in 'Merica. Happy 4th of July to you all. Here is alittle #throwback to my last trip to the States when I visited Lady Liberity, and walked the path followed by thousands of Irishmen & women through Ellis Island on what was a voyage of survival, new beginnings and hope. Truely humbling to walk the corridors walked by so many Irish people as they began a new life for themselves, full of fear for the unknown coupled with the possibility of never seeing home again. Its on days like the 4th of July that we can be proud of Irish Americans and their influence throughout generations in an amazing country. Happy Independence Day to all you Americans out there.

Great afternoon at Féile An Dóilín today watching the famous Galway Hooker boats racing in the Bay. Followed by a quick and very cool dip into the Atlantic waters. Fresh air, Chicken sandwiches, Tea on the Gas Stove, surrounded by fluent Gaeilge (Irish) Speakers, watching young men of Connemara keeping an important tradition alive. Perfect Sunday Afternoon!
