Suberb Cong Tour during last week's settled weather. Merci beacoup Ronan et Virginie for your company! This tour being somewhat open on the large expanse of Northern lake requires benign weather to work, and that day we hit the jackpot! = no better place to paddle.

Past fortnight-ish of benign weather has gifted us some special tours & sunset paddles. From Michigan/NJ US here's Kristine, Kelly & Vickie taking it all in on our 5 miler (8k) 'Corribean Loop' dusk tour. Strong paddling girls!

There's Ireland's Ronan Foley glinting on the podium! Super cool dude with incredible paddling talent. On land looks like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth...don't be fooled...on water he's a paddling monster!

Marathon kayak racing presented in all its glory in this lovely clip of last weekend's Marathon World Cup in Hazewinkel Belgium (drone footage by Luke Bowyer Team GB ...great job dude!) If your looking to find out what marathon kayaking is about, and explore the attractions check it out! Blissed out weather, smooth organisation & intense competition made for 3 days of spectacular racing. Huge congrats to Irish junior sensation - Ronan O Foghladha on his silver medal in a top class field, his first world cup podium...! follow this chap. ...and kudos to our top sprinter Barry Watkins for 5th position in the cauldron of the senior mens race. After commanding the intense dog fight for the majority he was unfortunate to finish outside the medals by mere seconds. next Time Barry! https://www.facebook.com/groups/racingcanoeclubs/permalink/1701088829905317/

Shout out to Conor and Natalie - great company on last night's Dusk Tour on Middle section of Lough Corrib (nr. Headford). Enjoyed their bit of sailing with the Windpaddle sail. Treated to a sublime sunset with starling murmuration, observing wild goats & wild geese. How lucky to be out!

Irish Paralympian Kayaker Pat O' Leary recently takes delivery of his lovely new SIPRE sea kayak for some well- deserved RnR aside from the serious business of sprint training. Wish him many enjoyable miles, relaxation & maybe a few trout! Model is a SIPRE Embat, definitely on the faster side as sea kayaks go.
