Our recent BNI Abbey open meeting at the Old Ground Hotel was a great success, with visitors from all over Clare. Our feature presenter for the evening was Tim Oates, BNI Executive Director, who detailed the benefits of membership and the principle of 'Givers Gain' upon which BNI is founded. Sincere thanks to our visitors for their interest and participation at the event, and we look forward further opportunities to talk with them in future.

A great feature presentation at today's BNI Abbey chapter meeting from Andrew Lynch of Sticky Business, who detailed his company's impressive range of display signage, printing and clothing. Andrew creates custom signs and wraps for vehicles, PVC banners and impressive wall art options, along with a wide range of corporate and event-specific t-shirts, safety vests and other clothing. He gave us a fascinating explanation of the skills and artistry required, which he demonstrated with an insightful presentation of his portfolio. Continuing with our January review, we had a thoroughly enjoyable feature presentation from Damien Harvey, of CHR Property Services. Damien specialises in those repair and maintenance jobs in homes and business premises that are difficult to get sorted. As he explained, it can be near to impossible to get simpler jobs completed – fixing loose fittings, repairing broken items, tidying gardens, etc. – but that's where CHR Property Services excel. They look after most physical maintenance tasks for council and private houses, sites, renovations and business premises, and also provide dry lining and old building refurbishment, along with room-by-room upgrades and kitchen installations. Continuing our January review, we had a great feature presentation from Jason Coyle of CJT Motor Services, describing the range of automotive skills his impressive company provides. CJT is also home to the Car Doctor Ennis, an innovative and simple way of saving for your car’s service and maintenance costs through monthly instalments. Jason's primary message was about quality parts and how they save motorists money in the medium to long term – particularly important with the increase in counterfeit components. And CJT also offers a bespoke car finding system, where you detail what type of car you want, the specification and features, and Jason's team locates it, looking after the import duties and taxes on your behalf. We had a very busy January at the Abbey Chapter, so we shall recap it, now that we welcome the start of Spring! Pictured here, Conor Glendon of Conor J. Glendon & Co., Law Firm, presents Geraldine Kelly of Clever Cleaning with a testimonial. Conor used the Clever Cleaning crew to do work at his home and was highly impressed with the results – so much so that he heartily recommends Geraldine and her team for external cleaning of windows, gutters, fascias and soffits, and driveways. He was particularly impressed that Clever Cleaning was able to remove moss from a tarmac drive that he thought he would have to redo it all.
