Thriveabetes; Thrive with Type 1 Diabetes Conference
Description
Thriveabetes; Thrive with Type 1 Diabetes” is a one day conference for living with type 1 diabetes. Thriveabetes is an abbreviation of “Thrive with Type 1 Diabetes”. It’s a conference/movement that focuses on Type 1 Diabetes.
We develop specific conference talks and workshops based around the psyco-social aspects of living with type 1 diabetes.
The 1st Thriveabetes Conference took place in Maynooth, Co. Kildare on Saturday the 3rd October 2015. It was attended by 190 people, divided evenly between adults with type 1 and parents of children with type 1 diabetes.
It was such a success that we, the organisers, are working to make Thriveabetes an annual event.
"Thriveabetes 2015" was a first-of-it's-kind event in Ireland - a conference organised by people with type 1 diabetes for people with type 1 diabetes!
