David Myerscough speaks to Tattersalls following the sale of Baroda and Colbinstown's homebred filly by Acclamation (GB) out of La Reine de Pearls (IRE) who sold for 110,000gns at the 2017 Guineas Lot 112: "We are thrilled with that," said David Myerscough of Baroda and Colbinstone Studs, consignor of this Acclamation filly, sold to Stephen Hillen for 110,000gns. "She is a homebred, but she got a really bad stone bruise as a foal and we did not even enter her for a yearling sale. She's very straight-forward, she has taken all of this well and has licked the pot clean every night." The consignor is not a regular selling of two-year-olds, more usually seen at the yearling and foal sales, but as Myerscough explains they are "happy to keep one to breeze if needs be" with a two furlong gallop at home and The Curragh near at hand. Hillen outbattled Armando Duarte for the filly on behalf of the trainer Mick Quinn and new client Kenny Bruce. "She did a good breeze, the fastest time," said Hillen. (13:32)
