Description
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu - a martial art and international combat sport. Brazilian jiu-jitsu (Jiu-Jitsu Brasileiro port.) - A martial art and combat international sports, the foundation of which is the fight on the ground, as well as painful and suffocating receptions. This art originated in the early twentieth century from Kodokan Judo [1] [2], which was an independent young system (founded in 1882), formed by numerous schools (Ryu) of Japanese Jiu-jitsu.
This art is based on the principle that people poorly developed physique can successfully defend against a stronger opponent, using proper technique (painful holds and strangulation), and beat him. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ, BDD) can be trained for different purposes: self-defense, sport, competition (both gi and no) and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Sparring (also referred to in BJJ Rolling) and full contact training play a major role in the training and preparation for competitions.

Ok team, next weekend is seminar with Estima brothers, for kids, woman's and another athletes,The schedule for it is as follows. Saturday 18th 10.00am Instructors/coaches conference. 12.00pm-1.00pm Kids anti bullying class. 1.30pm-2.30pm Women's only self defence class 3.00pm-6.00pm All levels seminar. We are also considering going out for food afterwards on the Saturday night if anyone is interested? Let me have an idea of numbers interested and I can get something booked.Going to be a great weekend, lets all support the event, and show how our club has grown, and the community spirit we try to build in our academy!
