Description
Christ Church Rathgar (CCR) stands at a busy crossroads
on the south side of Dublin, the capital city of Ireland.
We are a Presbyterian congregation and are part of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, which has an all island presence.
As you will see when you explore our web site further we are an
active congregation with many different facets to our programme.
In 2009, Christ Church Rathgar celebrated 150 years
of faithful and continuous witness to God in this area.
The congregation invites you to browse our web site and we are always pleased to welcome visitors to Sunday services.
Christ Church Rathgar seeks to maintain the heritage of faith
and be a relevant Christian presence in the neighbourhood.

Service this Sunday the 2nd of April at CCR: 11:00 a.m. Quarterly Communion (Note: no 9:30 a.m. service) > service conducted by Rev. Lorraine Kennedy-Ritchie Retiring Collection - In aid of Christian Aid's South Sudan Appeal The need : In February 2017 the UN recognized the first famine in the world since 2011. 100,000 people in Unity state faced starvation; 1 million more were on the brink of famine, 3 million people were displaced within South Sudan or in neighbouring states. The people of South Sudan experience not only hunger, but problems with hygiene, epidemics and human rights abuses. The background: The world's newest state, South Sudan has experienced 3 years of Civil War since its independence struggle with Sudan ended. Tribal rivalries, oil revenues and climate change underlie the conflict. What do your donations provide? Shelter - Food - Water- Hygiene equipment and training - seeds - tools for work Why should this concern us in CCR? - All people in desperate need should concern Christians! `Many South Sudanese people are Christian - A family from South Sudan are very welcome members of our congregation. They and their family have suffered from this situation. Please give as generously as you can to help the very difficult situation in South Sudan! Very many thanks ! The children will go out for Junior Church and come back in for communion. They will be learning about Lazarus using Lego and making palms in preparation for Palm Sunday next week. There will be a short practice session for those who did music club after church for about 15 minutes or so. There will be tea/coffee/juice & biscuits after the service so we hope you will stay for a chat after church. All are welcome at Christ Church Rathgar!
