We’re sharing our Sheep Trail abundance! These lovingly knitted beauties will be given away today at a Christmas party organised by Our Table for kids living in a number of different direct provision centres. Many thanks to all our dedicated knitters!

So many prayers left by school groups on the Sheep Trail pilgrimage and by our cathedral visitors. The Sheep Trail remains in place until Christmas Eve!
Remember all are welcome to our annual PEATA service this afternoon at 1.15pm. This amazing service will feature the PEATA Therapy Dogs being blessed in a service led by the Dean and is certainly one of the highlights of the year for us! Feel free to bring your own dog as well! Because of the service, there will be no celebration of the Eucharist today, with normal services resuming tomorrow.
UPDATE: 11th December - 15th December. With our 'Carols by Candlelight' concerts, PEATA Carol Service and much more going on, this week is certainly a busy one! As such, there will be some small changes to our normal service schedule this week. PEATA Carol Service - Tuesday 12th December We have our annual PEATA Carol Service, an absolute highlight of the year at Christ Church where the PEATA therapy dogs, and all other dogs too, are welcomed with open arms for a service of blessing, led by the Dean and the Girl Choristers. The service starts at 1.15pm. Because of the set up required, there will be no celebration of the Eucharist at 12.45, but all are warmly encouraged to come (with their dog if possible!) to our PEATA Carol Service at 1.15pm. 'Carols by Candlelight' Concerts - Tuesday 12th, Wednesday 13th & Thursday 14th December There will be no sung Compline on Tuesday and no Choral Evensong on Wednesday or Thursday evenings. Evening Prayer will take place at 5pm on all days this week to which all are very welcome to attend. Cathedral Closure - Friday 15th December Last admission to Christ Church will be at 12.30pm this Friday, 15th December. All are welcome to attend Eucharist at 12.45 and the cathedral will close afterward, and reopen as normal on Saturday morning at 9.30am. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
'A Quiet Christmas' All are most welcome to attend a beautiful service of Taizé in the Crypt of Christ Church Cathedral on Tuesday 19th December at 7.30pm, led by the Very Revd Dermot Dunne, Dean of Christ Church Cathedral and the Revd Abigal Sines, Dean’s Vicar.
