I provide professional security consulting services. Penetration testing, Network and Web Application Security assessments. Protect your SME! I have 4+ years experience working in the security industry and even more experience from playing with computers in my spare time.

I started fine tuning many of my self-taught skills through finding and responsibly disclosing security issues to software vendors with issues I identified in websites and applications while a student in DCU,

I then moved onto bug bounty programs and had lots of success reporting security issues to some of the largest companies in the world.

After college I started working full time as a security consultant for Rits information Security, They are a 25+ year Irish, security-only boutique firm that provided specialist consulting to the public and private sector.

From here I decided to venture out on my own and work as freelancer/sole trader, this has opened up a lot of opportunities for me and I have done work for many companies around the world.

I provide professional security consulting services for my own clients and have the freedom to schedule my own work, leaving extra time to do security research and keep my skills sharp between contracts.

My prices are generally adjusted to suit my clients and the scale of their web assets or infrastructure. Generally this falls in the range of €350-650 per day of hands on testing.

Other than regular vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, I also run specialized testing that uses multifaceted approaches to breach company assets in alternative ways.

This includes, phishing attacks, customized controlled malware attacks, social engineering and physical building access security.

I have a very high success rate in finding vulnerabilities that standard pentests by larger firms often miss.

Your individual website or small to medium sized enterprise will raise the bar significantly for an attacker who wants to abuse your assets.
My services help ensure you are not affected by the basic attacks people fall victim to on a daily basis. You will be made aware of persistent ongoing security threats facing your business and how to remediate the risk.

Tightened security urged after council cyberattack

Unfortunately this type of thing is common, "Ceo fraud" is NOT a sophisticated "cyberattack" it is basically someone sending fake mails from a CEO or someone in a trusted management position. This will become more common also thanks to mass hacks of user data such as the 1billion yahoo accounts as people reuse their passwords. Awareness of such attacks is key, especially if you're in a position to transfer company assets/money

20% of Irish firms hit with ransomware attacks

Ransomware is a massive problem these days affecting 20% of Irish firms and on many occasions personal home computers. The unfortunate truth about ransomware is that attackers are asking for roughly 300-1000 euro to decrypt your files. It generally costs a lot more to have a security company or consultant remove the malware or to decrypt and recover your files after an attack. I offer a fairly unique service in which I carry out a "controlled malware attack", this mimics attacks criminals are carrying out in a very controlled manner and aims to help your business tighten up many of the very obvious avenues that attackers might pursue. Essentially it is a way of tightening up your defence and raising the threshold of effort required by an attacker to successfully carry out an attack. This is one of many simple measures you can take to protect your business assets from common criminals. http://www.irishtimes.com/business/technology/20-of-irish-firms-hit-with-ransomware-attacks-1.2592268

Thousands of Irish emails hit in global hack

It's weird not having to advertise my security services, the News media does a pretty good job for me. Breaches are happening all the time, you need to raise the threshold so that a "kid from a small town in Russia" doesn't end up doing a number on your precious internet services or business. It not only directly costs you money, it affects your reputation and compromises the security of anyone using your sites too. You need to be proactive about this stuff! http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/technology/thousands-of-irish-emails-hit-in-global-hack-34698599.html

Cybercrime surge prompts Garda warning to Irish companies

Hello folks! This message is simply me taking advantage of media scaremongering to advertise my services. I can help organisations of any size understand and fix many of the security issues they may not even know they have. It can also save you a lot of money in the long run. Did you know that it costs more to hire consultants to remove ransomware and get your files back for example, than it does to simply pay the criminals? Most malware infections are spread in automated ways that prey on careless organisation practices and unaware people. Get in touch at info@securit.ie for some specialist assistance.
