The ISF is an Irish charity with a mission to improve quality of life for people with skin conditions www.irishskin.ie A national charity supporting people with skin disease. We believe that everyone with a skin disease should have fair access to correct information, correct expertise and correct treatment. We operate a free Helpline, work to raise awareness, publish information leaflets, offer education to nurses and pharmacists, advocate for improved dermatology services, and fund research.
There are many forms of skin disease, which include inflammatory conditions, such as acne, eczema and psoriasis; skin cancers, including melanoma and basal cell carcinoma; infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites; autoimmune conditions, such as
lupus and vitiligo; and hereditary diseases, such as epidermolysis bullosa (EB) and ichthyosis.
