Dundrum Academy of Performing Arts provides intensive training in Drama, Dance and Music for kids 4-16 yrs.  Dundrum Academy of Performing Arts provides intensive training in Drama, Dance and Music for kids 4-16 yrs. We offer top training with well-known actors and performers.

DAPA also open doors for their students with exciting productions, auditions and opportunities.

In Acting, we offer a wide range of work from imaginative improvisation, acting skills, mime, script work, poetry, commedia del arte and physical theatre.

In Singing, we offer styles from chart, classical and a bias towards musical theatre. We focus on vocal training and pronunciation.

In Dance we offer fun and challenging modern jazz ballet classes with a focus on fitness, special awareness and co-ordination.

THE ROCKER: THE LIFE AND MUSIC OF PHIL LYNOTT AMY ROWAN CASTING is working with directors Jim Sheridan and Colm Quinn on a feature documentary about the life of Thin Lizzy front man Philip Lynott. Looking for an Irish performer of mixed race / middle eastern / Mediterranean ethnicity aged between 18 and 35, to play the part of Lynott in a feature documentary telling the story of his rise to stardom. Holding a casting on Saturday 27th May. Filming will take place on various dates throughout 2017. Experience in film and television is not essential. Please come prepared with a song, poem or example of Philip’s influence on you. Auditions will be filmed and may form part of the final film. If you are interested please send a recent photo and a bit about yourself to office@rowancasting.ie Whether you act or have a passion for rock n’ roll - you could be the next Phil Lynott. The successful Rocker will work with professional mentors and those who have influenced and worked with Phil to ‘become’ THE ROCKER.

Exiting news for DAPA boys 9-13 yrs - Disney is looking for you! IRELAND FILM CASTING: ARTEMIS FOWL TO BE DISTRIBUTED BY DISNEY No previous acting experience is necessary! Currently looking for an IRISH boy for the title role in Disney’s adaptation of Eoin Colfer’s novel ‘Artemis Fowl’ ARTEMIS FOWL – male, aged 9 – 13, any ethnicity At first glance Artemis could be mistaken for a rather ordinary child with little athletic ability, but his eyes reveal a flickering of intelligence. Inquisitive and possessing both academic and emotional intelligence, he is highly perceptive and good at reading people. Most importantly, Artemis is warm-hearted and has a great sense of humour; he has fun in whatever situation he is in and loves life. (Applications must be submitted by parent or legal guardian.) CASTING CALL: BREASTFEEDING MOTHER We are currently casting for a breastfeeding mother and her child for promotional campaign. The mother cast must be comfortable breastfeeding in public. CRITERIA FOR APPLICATIONS: 1. Must be available for a casting session on Tuesday 2nd May and filming on 15th & 16th May for filming all in Belfast.
