Our new ECCE session is starting and we have a few spaces left in our afternoon session from 12.30pm to 3.30pm starting the 26th of August. Please contact reception at 0419878585 if you are interested 😀 ECCE is a free session for children born between January 2016 and December 2016. Children must be toilet trained to attend this session.

The children from the after school club had a great morning at The Fleadh 🎼 They visited St Laurence’s gate were they met the local Garda 👮🏻‍♀️ The got to do some colouring before going over the town to see some musicians where they got an ice pop treat 🎻

Scribbles & Giggles are Fleadh ready. 🎻 🎼 The children had great fun making musical decorations for the windows in their rooms. 🎻 The children in J2 have a big countdown display in the hall and had a great week learning all about the Fleadh 😍

Parents. NATIONAL CHILDCARE SCHEME There is a new childcare scheme starting in October this year that ALL parents can see what hours and rates they will receive from the government, the CCSP & CCSU scheme will be phased out. There is a website open from yesterday that parents can log into to find out more information. The parents will be putting their information into this new system and will receive what subsidy they will get. The new system will then give parents a code known as CHICK which is then giving into the crèche to register the child. The ECCE scheme will remain the same.

The children in Junior 2 threw a celebration party for their room mascot Rosie! Where children were invited to dress up in whatever they chose! We decided to have a party because Zara is so excited about her own party but just can’t wait until July!! 😘 So we had a celebration with all our favourite things! (Zara picked the cake!) 😜 Zara’s mammy baked some tasty treats for us and we danced our socks off! Rosie had a great day dressing up with her friends from J2!😍

There was lots of emotions today as we said goodbye to the children in playschool 1 who are leaving to go to big school in September. 👩‍🎓😥👨‍🎓 There was music & dancing, and the children had a party to celebrate their last day. 😍 All the staff at Scribbles & Giggles would like to thank the children & parents for the lovely gifts we received 😀

As part of our inclusion policy and Aistear’s theme of Identity & Belonging we held our first ever grandparents day for our ECCE children today. 😘 This was a great succes and a lovely morning was had by both children & grandparents 😍 The grandparents had a cuppa & scone afterwards in the hall with each other 😜

Today's the day the teddy bears had their picnic! 🐻 On Friday both our Preschool rooms had a teddy bears picnic. The children made the picnic all by themselves and although the weather wasn't on our side it didn't dampen the spirits! 😘 The children and staff had lots of fun and of course not forgetting the teddies who all received an award on the day. 😍 Aistear link: Well being & Exploring & thinking

Melanie and all the staff at Scribbles & Giggles would like to give a big shout out to our 4 Afterschool children who recently made their first holy communion. 😘 So it was celebrated yesterday with a party for them and a chance to dress up again. 😍 Congratulation to Eleanor, Brook, Jenny & Callum who all looked amazing. 😝
