Parents due to further warnings & recommendations from dept Moneymore Childcare Centre will be closed again tomorrow Tuesday for safety reasons. We will keep you all updated as we go. Stay safe.

Pride of place took place today & we proudly welcomed the judges into our creche & the community... the children sang songs, Tina told us the fairytale of moneymore childcare & how it all began & we heard from some lovely parents (Wendy Cunningham & Vicki Walshe) who had stories of what our creche means to them. Thanks to all the staff for their hard work in the run up to this day & to everyone who got involved & helped. #communityspirit ❤

Parents reminder: The childcare centre will be closed for yearly decorating from 7th till the 11th of August (all next week) see you all back on Monday 14th of August. Enjoy your week off 😁

Parents, we are going to try and open tomorrow unless there are any major changes over night with repair. We need to make you aware though that we may not get the full day out of the water and we will need you to be contactable in case we have to close at any stage throughout the day. We understand that this may not suit you all if working as its not a guarantee etc and we can only apologise and hope for the best. Thanks for your patience all week. 👍

Latest update : The first stage of the repair to the water main at Roughgrange is complete and seems to be operating well. Reservoir levels are continuing to slowly refill as engineers want to make sure no issues arise with the pipe as the flow grows stronger. Thankfully, the Staleen Water Treatment Plant is now back in production. All the water stations around the area will continue to be manned as water re-enters the system. It will be the weekend before a full supply is available, especially in places on the fringes of the supply, Irish Water has confirmed.

Parents: as the water situation is still not resolved the creche will remain closed tomorrow. We are very sorry for the inconvenience but as you all know its out of our control. We will update you as soon as any change. If anyone needs water the red cross & order of malta are calling to houses if contacted & check irish water website for areas being switched on at certain times. If anyome is stuck please let me know & if i can help i wil. Thanks.

www.irishwater.ie are giving updates & times when water may be switched on in your area for short periods to allow you fill containers/baths etc. Also the order of malta are distributing water if needed.

The childcare centre wil be closed till at least Thursday depending on the water situation. We will update you all as we find out new information. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. All staff are to still attend every morning at 9am to sign in. Thanks for patience & co-operation.

Due to employment regulations All staff must attend work each morning at 9am while water outage is ongoing to sign in & then they can leave (this applies to all staff whether they start at 9am or not) we will also contact staff via texts/calls & update this page regularly. Thanks.
