Lorraine McCormick & Rachel Knox completed a sponsored cycle of 10,000 kms in support of Solace Cancer Support Centre,St. Joseph's Avenue, Donegal Town. This included a journey from Gravesend in Kent, England, to the Centre. The cycle was in memory of Lorrain's mum, Maureen McCormick, who was a much loved & active member of the Solace Centre. The two cyclists arrived at the Centre in glorious sunshine on Friday 2nd of August 2019, where they were met by Rachel's sister Clare & Lorraine's father Gerry. On the final leg of the journey they were accompanied by cyclists from the Donegal Cycle Club. They were given a rousing welcome by all present, including the Donegal Mayor, Pauraic Kennedy & members of the Donegal Golf Club who were generous sponsors of the event. Subsequently, there was a joyful celebration with music, Irish dance display by 4 members from the Mcnelis,Cunningham, Boyle, School of Irish Dancing, refreshments, speeches,spot prizes & presentations. The photographs capture the spirit & atmosphere of the afternoon. The presentation of the final cheque to Solace Cancer Support Centre was made on the 7th of August 2019.

"Seasonal Sparkle" flower demonstration done by Margaret McGroary & Patricia McCalles at the Solace cancer support Centre, 3rd Dec.2018. It was a very Informative & enjoyable evening with creative presentations of flower displays.

Solace Cancer Support Centre Annual Barbecue was held in glorious sunshine on the 29th of June 2018. The supporters of the Centre from the local community & volunteer members enjoyed the evening. Our cooks fed us well & our excellent musicians provided lively entertainment.

Thank you to all who supported the Team Hope Christmas Shoe Box Appeal, 30 Boxes and a Donation of € 156 was collected from the Solace Centre by Desmond Davis.
A big thank you to all who baked a lovely selection of cakes for the Coffee Morning in aid of Donegal Hospice, at Solace Cancer Support Centre Donegal Town. Thanks is also extended to everyone who attended and made the event a great success.
The proceeds of €350 from Killybegs Slimming World was presented to Phil Gallagher from a 5K charity walk. This money was donated to Solace Cancer Support Centre Donegal Town. Coffee Morning in aid of Donegal Hospice, will be held in Solace Cancer Support Centre, St. Joseph's Avenue, Donegal Town, on Thursday the 21st of September. Come along and enjoy a chat, a cup of tea and some delicious home baking.
