Faye had a very traumatic time when she developed Meningococcal Septicaemia ( a very dangerous form of Meningitis) in November 2012.
She was initially treated and stabilised in CUH before being rushed to Temple Street hospital for further treatment. She returned to CUH on 12 Dec 2012, for plastic surgery consultations and intensive nursing care.
Faye finally was released in early January 2013, and is progressing well.
Her parents Joe and Sally Knowles felt that the treatment and care that Faye received was amazing and felt they would like to organise some fund raising for the CUH and Temple street children units.
