I think you will like it if you give it a chance. Just call down to Garrylucas Beach on Sunday morning circa 11.15 for a friendly game. Totally worth it , just make the effort.

Played our last turkey competition on Sunday 18th December and all prizes were given out on the day. So well done to all the people who had a first place over the 7 weeks we had competitions, the winners all got a wonderful hamper and 2nd each week got a prize. Thank you to Margaret O Brien who arrranged all the prizes.

We had our Xmas draw on Sunday 18th of December. Prizes were won by....... 1st = Adam Quinn (Christmas Cake) 2nd = Peggy Arundel (Bottle of Brandy) 3rd = Sarah Galvin ( Chocolates and Cosmetics) Well done to all and a big thank you to the sellers of the tickets all over the parish.

Turkey competitions ongoing every Sunday from now until Xmas. Give the old clubs a dustdown and join us at 11.15 on Sundays.

Congrats to Ann Bowen who got a hole in one on number 4 and took out the local hole-in-one prize on Sunday. 38 Meters and just one shot into a tiny hole. Impressive stuff.

Congratulations to Michael J. Minihane who won the Paddy Bowen Cup on a rainy morning in Garylucas. 2nd place was Tony Crowley by only 1 shot. The Paddy Bowen Perpetual Cup is running for the next 2 weeks. The competitions will run on Wednesday 10 Aug, Sunday 14th Aug and Wednesday 17th Aug. 2 cards to count. Best 6 Gross to play in final on Sunday 21st August at 11AM. Prizes ; Overall winner; Cup and prize. Runner up. 1st net and 1st gross. 2nd net and 2nd gross. Hole in one prize (lowest index). Cards 5 euro. CLUB MEMBERS ONLY

Fine day in Garrettstown and Garylucas, Car Boot Sale and Country Market today is going ahead. Starts at 12 and will finish around 4. 10 euro per car or stall, FREE entry for all buyers. Loads of free parking on the beach.

Don't forget we are having a car boot sale and country market on Sunday as a fund raiser for the club. The forecast looks pretty good so we hope to see lots of people out here supporting the club. You never know, you might pick up a bargain.....
