Description
A fabulous, annual, outdoor, all-seated concert held on University College Cork's beautiful Main Quad to raise money for local charities. The 11th Summer's Evening on the Quad took place on Saturday 16 July 2016 with Rebecca Storm and Michael McCarthy, backed by the Band of An Garda Síochána, with MC Gerald Kean.
This years concert raised more than €50,000 for the following charities:
Children's Leukaemia Association
Cork Association for Autism
Cork Life Centre
Cork Penny Dinners
UCC's Disability Support Services
A wonderful night in a unique setting!!!

C'mon Gerald Kean, you can do it! Operation Transformation Leader Mr Gerald Kean has been presenting A Summer's Evening on the Quad for many years. He has often spoken about how he's inspired by the work of the charities we support with our fundraising concert. Now the tables have turned and Gerald is the person inspiring thousands to take on a healthier lifestyle in his role as an Operation Transformation Leader. The Corkman has been following the food and exercise programme with dedication while also juggling a busy career. He is determined to stay committed and is already seeing healthy results from his OT challenge. Thumbs up Gerald, keep going!
