3 years ago today many celebrated the announcement of the go ahead for the Brewery Quarter Event Centre Development 🙄 3 years on and all we have is a site with a massive pile of rubble and a hub for BAM to use and park their cars while they've been building all their other projects. FACT: it's amazing that 225 years ago today, William Beamish and William Crawford were far more productive than the current occupiers of the Beamish site, as they took pride building the iconic Beamish & Crawford Brewery in 1792, creating hundreds of jobs for the people of Cork. How would you say the current occupiers of the site compare? William Beamish and William Crawford must be turning in their grave with the current state of their former site laying idle in Cork City Centre. #eventcentre #breweryquarter

Great News (for us)! By using this site for free as a base for all our other Cork building projects, we have saved ourselves a serious amount of money and hassle! 🤑🤑 However- Bad News (for Cork), still no solid start on the dream promise of the Brewery Quarter Development in the heart of Cork City. The heart of Cork City is now more or less a semi permanent humongous pile of rubble that you'll have to deal with for at least another few years yet.
