Description
If you live in the Glanmire Area and are finding things difficult then please contact the SVP Glanmire (St. Stephen's Conference) branch on 086 3080882 The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVP) is a direct service non-profit organisation whose work primarily involves person-to-person contact with people who have a variety of needs. In addition to direct assistance, we try to promote self-sufficiency, enabling people to help themselves. Any assistance offered by the Society is given in a non-judgemental spirit of compassion, based on the need of the individual or family.
We do much more than just address financial hardship; we visit the sick, the poor, the lonely and the imprisoned to form a unique network of social concern. Our members give through working for social justice and the creation of a more just and caring nation.

A message of thanks from the Glanmire St. Vicent de Paul group At Christmas time thanks to the wonderful community spirit we have in Glanmire, the local SVP group was able to deliver substantial Christmas hampers up to 40 households in need in our area. It is our privilege to be of help and to experience the warm welcome into peoples homes. The Glanmire SVP group has received ongoing financial support during the year at the church doors, flag days, and other fundraising events and has around Christmas time received some very generous donations - for this help we are very grateful and will work hard throughout the coming year to ensure that this aid finds its way to providing real assistance and relief to those most in need in our community - the greater-Glanmire Area. A sincere thank you to all the many-many wonderful people and organisations who helped. We wish all in our community every good wish for 2017.
