Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian Art-Form that comes from the African Slaves in Brazil. It combines: Martial Arts * Acrobatics * Fitness * Dance * Music * Fun All in one art. A truly unique art form that will work your entire body, especially your legs and core! We cater to all levels & work with each individual to help you learn at your pace. DESCRIPTION Learn African Dance from Master Dancer IDRISSA CAMARA from Guinea Conakry. Join us for a very special dance workshop with Ballet Nimba's Artistic Director Idrissa Camara. Live drumming will be provided by Cork Drumming group Kukú. Idrissa Camara is an award winning choreographer, dancer, musician and filmmaker from Guinea Conakry. He trained from childhood with Ballet Gbassikolo under the tutealage of Bangaly Bangoura, before himself leading many ballets accross West Africa. He arrived in the UK in 2007 and since that time he founded the fabulous Ballet Nimba a company who perform accross the UK and Internationally. We had a lovely day dancing, drumming and doing Capoeira with all the folks in the Criola Events Ireland Brazilian festival! Oh and we can't forget the 100 photographers from the East Cork Camera Group (ECCG), Ireland (But seriously, were waiting on those photos).
